Engineering Exam Preparation

Comprehensive preparation for Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Professional Engineering (PE) Power exams.

FE and PE Power exam prep, taught by working PEs

The NCEES electrical power exams test what working engineers actually do — not what undergrad textbooks emphasize. ClarkTE’s instructors hold active PE licenses, sit for the same exams every time NCEES updates the spec, and teach to the test the way it’s really written.

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) vs Professional Engineering (PE Power)

The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is the first step. NCEES delivers it as a 6-hour, 110-question computer-based test covering circuit analysis, signals, electronics, power, control systems, and a layer of math, ethics, and engineering economics. Most candidates take it in their senior year of an ABET-accredited program. Pass it and you’re an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).

The Professional Engineering (PE Power) exam comes after four years of qualifying experience under a licensed PE. NCEES delivers it as an 8-hour computer-based test focused entirely on electrical power: power generation, transmission and distribution, machines and transformers, system protection, motors, and codes (NEC, NESC). It is the credential utilities, consulting firms, and AHJs require to stamp drawings.

ClarkTE prep covers both. Self-paced video, NCEES-style practice problems, and live office hours with active PEs. We are not an NCEES-affiliated review course — we’re a small team of working engineers who got tired of watching good candidates fail an exam they could have passed with the right preparation.
