Commission, maintain, and defend your substation.

Acceptance testing on day one. Maintenance testing for the next thirty years. Forensic support when something goes wrong. One firm, one chain of evidence.

Substation Services

Substation maintenance, testing, and commissioning

ClarkTE provides power substation services for industrial plants, utilities, healthcare campuses, data centers, and critical-facility owners. The work runs from acceptance and commissioning of new electrical substations through the next thirty years of maintenance testing and on into forensic support when something has tripped, faulted, or burned.

Substation testing follows ANSI/NETA MTS for maintenance and ANSI/NETA ATS for acceptance — the same recognized industry standards your insurer, utility, and AHJ already understand. Test plans are built around the consequence of each asset, not a generic annual checkbox, and every report leads with findings ranked by risk.

What we do

Acceptance and commissioning testing

Full acceptance testing on new switchgear lineups, transformers, breakers, and cables before energization, performed by technicians who have been certified to industry standards. We catch the things the OEM factory test missed and the things that happened during shipping and install. You energize with confidence and a defensible test record.

Maintenance testing

Risk-based, not calendar-based. We propose a schedule built around the consequence of each asset, not a generic annual checkbox. Insulation resistance, power factor, sweep frequency, contact resistance, timing, breaker injection, and more, all to recognized industry standard.

Protection and control upgrades

Relay changeouts, settings calculation, factory testing, on-site commissioning, and SCADA integration. We do the math, we set the relays, and we prove they trip when they should and not when they should not.

Forensic and incident response

When something has tripped, faulted, or failed, we mobilize quickly, secure the evidence, run the diagnostics, and produce a root-cause report that holds up to OEM warranty review, AHJ inquiry, and insurance investigation. Plain English up front, technical defense in the appendix.

Why facilities pick ClarkTE for substation work

WhatWhy it matters
Same company, every visitYour equipment is known by name and location.
PE oversight on every jobEvery test plan and every report is reviewed by a licensed Professional Engineer. Every settings change is signed.
Outage planning that respects the plantWe work around your production schedule, not the other way around. We have done multi-day staged outages on running facilities and brought them back on time.
Reports that defend decisionsOur test reports lead with findings, ranked by risk, with cost-to-defer estimates. The detail is in the appendix where it belongs.
